1979-2004 Ford Fox Body and SN-95 Mustang
(without IRS)
The Metco Motorsports high performance lower control arms for the Ford Mustang are CNC-machined from 6061-T6511 billet aluminum for unsurpassed strength and precision-fit. The control arms are clear-anodized for long-lasting surface protection.
Our control arms are designed to be installed as a direct replacement for the factory control arms, but offer the benefits of the dramatically stronger billet design and Energy Suspension-brand high-graphite polyurethane bushings. Each bushing has a grease fitting for long term, noise-free service. The arms are machined to accept the factory rear sway bar (or aftermarket equivalent) and require no modifications to the vehicle for installation.
The lower control arm in the Fox body application is a critical component in the car's suspension. Not only does it connect the axle housing to the body of the car, but it supports the vertical load from the weight of the car, and also the lateral loads imparted by the rear sway bar. Our control arms are designed specifically with these requirements in mind, and have been proven in a wide range of applications ranging from street drivers to serious race cars. No control arms can match the strength or the precision fit of control arms CNC-machined from a solid block 6061 certified aluminum.
Please note that with the 1999 model year, Ford changed from a 12mm mounting bolt to a larger 14mm mounting bolt. We size the steel pins in the control arms bushings to precisely match the hardware used, so it is necessary to choose the appropriate configuration for your car from the drop-down option below.
These control arms are designed, manufactured, and assembled at our facility in Anderson, SC. Detailed installation instructions and installation hardware are included.
