1965-1970 GM Full Size (Impala, Delta 88, Electra)
The Metco Motorsports high performance lower control arms for the GM Full Size application are CNC-machined from 6061-T6511 billet aluminum for unsurpassed strength and precision-fit. The control arms are clear-anodized for long-lasting surface protection.
Our control arms are designed to be installed as a direct replacement for the factory control arms, but offer the benefits of the dramatically stronger billet design and Energy Suspension-brand polyurethane bushings. Each bushing has a grease fitting for long term, noise-free service. The control arms require no modifications to the vehicle for installation, although the factory rear coil springs must be modified slightly to maintain the original ride height.
Rear sway bar mounting in this application varies, so please confirm fitment before ordering these control arms. We machine (2) 7/16" holes in each control arm, spaced 6" apart. For reference, the rear sway bar mounting hole is positioned 4 7/8" forward of the center of the rear control arm mounting point. Overall control arm length is 22.5", as measured from center-to-center of each mounting point.
As shipped, these control arms are configured for 9/16" control arm bolts. If your vehicle uses larger 5/8" bolts, please let us know and we will assembly your control arms accordingly.
Note 1: In some cases, it may be necessary to slightly shorten the rear coil springs to maintain the original ride height. Installation instructions are included.
Note 2: As shown, it is necessary to remove the spring perch from each original control arm for installation on the Metco arms. Mounting hardware is provided.
