Accessory-Drive Idler Pulley or Accessory-Drive Tensioner Pulley
Supercharged 6.2L SRT Applications
(Priced & Sold Individually)
These two pulley options install as direct replacements for the original 70mm 6-rib smooth idler pulleys on the accessory-drive. As shown in image 2 (inside the blue box), when installed as an idler pulley this pulley mounts in one of two locations between the alternator and water pump pulley, beneath both the supercharger idler pulley and the supercharger tensioner pulley, on the 6-rib accessory-drive belt.
When configured appropriately, this same pulley can be purchased as a replacement for the tensioner pulley on the same accessory drive. Note that no billet bearing cover can be used when the pulley is mounted to the tensioner arm.
These pulleys are machined from the same North America-sourced certified 6061 aluminum as our pulleys for the supercharger drive, and uses the same mil-spec hard-coat anodizing and heavy-duty pulley bearing. These pulleys install with no modifications and offer a huge improvement in both durability and appearance as compared to the original plastic pulleys. No change in belt length is required.
In idler pulley configuration, this pulley ships with the billet bearing cover and the appropriate M8 stainless-steel socket head fastener as shown. When the tensioner pulley configuration is selected, this pulley ships with an M8 hex bolt and threadlocker for installation on the tensioner arm. These pulleys are sold individually - Most 6.2L supercharged applications use (2) of these idler pulleys on the accessory drive, as shown in image 6, both near the alternator, and also one on the tensioner arm, for a total of (3) pulleys. If you wish to replace all (3) of these pulleys on your car, choose (2) in the idler pulley configuration and (1) in the tensioner pulley configuration.
