Double-Bearing Idler Pulley, 50mm or 63mm
2009-2015 Cadillac CTS-V, 2012-2015 Camaro ZL1
We offer these replacement idler pulleys in a reduced diameter (2.00" and 2.50") to provide the necessary clearance for overdrive crank pulley rings. These idler pulleys install as a direct replacement for the factory idler located at the 10 o'clock position relative to the crank pulley. Our pulleys even use the original pulley bolt for installation.
Like all Metco idler pulleys, these pulleys are precision-machined from certified 6061-T6 billet aluminum and are black hardcoat-anodized on the belt surface for extreme wear resistance. Special high-speed bearings specifically chosen for this severe application are fitted in a dual-bearing configuration to provide unmatched stability and durability. A precision-machined billet sleeve is included to provide the perfect fit over the factory pulley mount.
These replacement idler pulleys are used in LSA-powered CTS-V & ZL1 applications using our larger supercharger drive rings (sizes 9.1" and up, see notes below).
These two pulleys are both offered in two configurations: a 1.5" width for the GM LSA application (8-rib belt) and a 1.75" width for custom applications using a 10-rib belt.
Notes Regarding Pulley Size Selection: The 50mm idler pulley is necessary when using the 9.55" crank pulley ring and the OEM pulley mounting bracket. When using the 9.10" pulley ring, or when using our pulley relocation bracket with any size crank ring, the larger 63mm idler pulley is recommended.
Note 1: If you purchased a 50mm or 63mm idler pulley and it is not assembled with the special blue-seal bearings (pictured above), it is NOT a Metco Motorsports pulley.
Note 2: Please be aware that pairing the necessary 2.0” (50mm) or 2.5” (63mm) idler pulley with the large drive rings typically used in high-performance LSA applications results in extremely high bearing speeds at the idler pulley. We use a very special high-speed bearing chosen specifically for this extreme application, but even with this special bearing set longevity can be affected in the applications using very large crank rings and high engine speeds.
